HOUSTON IS GEARING UP for a special celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the first manned moon landing July 20, 1969.  One of the events leading up to this historic moment is a free lecture by Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin this Friday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts. Aldrin will give a talk and sign copies of his new memoir, “Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home from the Moon.” Admission is free to this special event.  Only books purchased at the Museum of Fine Arts will be signed by Aldrin.
