Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Gives Free Lecture, Autographs New Memoir July 10 at MFA

HOUSTON IS GEARING UP for a special celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the first manned moon landing July 20, 1969. One of the events leading up to this historic moment is a free lecture by Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin this Friday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Fine Arts. Aldrin will give a talk and sign copies of his new memoir, “Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home from the Moon.” Admission is free to this special event. Only books purchased at the Museum of Fine Arts will be signed by Aldrin. Museum of Fine Arts, 1001 Bissonnet, Brown Auditorium at the Caroline Weiss Law Building. Call 713.639.7360 for more info.
