I’ve seen a handful of Teacher Appreciation events advertised at various retailers in Houston.  This weekend for example, August 14-15, JoAnn Fabrics is honoring teachers with 20 percent off purchases all weekend plus a free tote.  August 14 is Teacher Appreciation at Big Lots. Other retailers like bookstores offer an educator discount all the time.
