Author and actress Jamie Lee Curtis returns to Houston to promote her 10th children’s book, My Brave Year of Firsts: Tries, Signs and High Fives. The book follows a first grader and her experiences with all kinds of new things such as tying her shoes, making friends, riding a bike and more. Our family has many of Curtis’ children’s books, and this one will be added soon! I love the illustrations and simple messages.

In partnership with Blue Willow Bookshop, Curtis will read and discuss her latest book Saturday, September 8, at Meadow Wood Elementary School, 14230 Memorial. Folks who purchase this book from Blue Willow will get a ticket to stand in the book signing line. Curtis will not sign other merchandise or memorabilia. Curtis will not take posed photos with fans but you can certainly take a photo of Curtis!

Doors at this event open at noon with the event beginning at 1 pm. Parking may be tricky, so check out the map online for nearby areas to park.
