Buca di Beppo — This family-style restaurant is offering a National Lasagna Day deal for its e-Club members. Sign up here and watch for the deal in your inbox next week! Located at 5192 Buffalo Speedway and The Woodlands at 19075 I-45 South.

Lasagna House — This local restaurant is the spot for lasagna! Don’t miss its half-price lasagna July 29 all day, dine in only. Valid at three locations: Memorial, North Houston, and Sugar Land Town Square.

Brio Tuscan Grille — This Italian favorite is offering 50% off its lasagna entrees all day Tuesday, July 29. Its Lasagna Bolognese Al Forno will be $9.32, rather than its $18.65 original price. Mezza Lasagna is not included. Dine in only, while supplies last. Brio Tuscan Grill is located at CityCentre, River Oaks, and The Woodlands.

Folks who visit one of Chick-fil-A’s 1,700+ locations July 11 in a fully-dressed cow costume (“head to hoof”) will get a free combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Kids will get a free kid’s meal when fully dressed. Folks in “partial cow attire,” such as vest, hat or purse, will receive a free entree, so that’s still a good deal! For those who need a little help, download printable cow spots and masks online.

Free Breakfast, Lunch at Houston Schools in Summer

Free Summer Meals at Houston SchoolsDid you know Houston kids can eat a free breakfast and lunch all summer, thanks to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program? This freebie is a win-win for all since it provides free healthy meals for kids ages 1-18 and helps parents save money. Proof of income, paperwork or registration is not required to enjoy this benefit. Parents pay a minimal fee to eat with their child — ranging from $1.50 – $3.25 per meal depending on location.

The master search site for free summer meals is available at WhyHunger.org. Search by your zip code to find sites in your area. Here are a few school district links to start:

  • Aldine ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here for the 45 participating locations. Breakfast is available during morning hours and lunch is 11 am – 1 pm.
  • Alief ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here. Times vary by location. Some locations end their free meals this week, while others go through mid-August.
  • Conroe ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here for the 8 locations.
  • CyFair ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here for the 23 participating school locations. Families do not need to be enrolled in the district to get the free summer meals. Meals are not available June 30-July 3 at many locations. Hours vary by location.
  • Deer Park ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here.
  • Houston ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Search the list online here for the 200 participating school locations. Meals are available Monday through Thursday from 8 am – 9 am for breakfast and 11 am – 12:30 pm for lunch.
  • Humble ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here. The high school will serve free meals through July 31. Two elementary sites are through July 10 and June 30 – August 7.
  • Katy ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here for the five participating school locations.
  • Spring ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here. Eight schools are participating. Some locations end their free meals this week. Others go through early August.
  • Spring Branch ISD: Free breakfast and lunch are available for children 1-18. Check the list online here. Twenty-one schools are participating. Hours vary by location.

Salata River Oaks: Free Salad or Wrap 6/19 to First 34

SalataBe one of the first 34 guests to dine at Salata’s Grand Opening Day in River Oaks June 19 and receive a free salad or salad wrap and drink. The 34 has significance since it’s the company’s 34th restaurant nationwide. It’s the 19th location in Houston and dubbed “The Next Generation Salad Bar.”

The new restaurant, 1440 W. Gray, will be open 11 am – 9 pm.
