Thursday is the magic day for FREE admission to many of Houston’s museums. Browsing a museum is a great indoor activity to stay out of the heat and learn new things.  Here is the skinny on free admissions every Thursday:

• Museum of Fine Arts — FREE Thursday 10 am – 9 pm
• The Health Museum — FREE Thursday 2 pm – 5 pm
• John C. Freeman Weather Museum — FREE Thursday 12 pm – 4 pm
• Children’s Museum — FREE Thursday 5 pm – 8 pm

The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers FREE admission each Tuesday after 2 pm. A number of museums, like the Contemporary Arts Museum and the Menil Collection, are free everyday!  Head over to the Houston Museum District site for all the specifics and locations.
