City Hall Farmers Market Returns February 22
posted by Vicki Powers on February 21, 2012

The successful City Hall Farmers Market returns each Wednesday beginning tomorrow, February 22 through June 27, after a short winter hiatus. This downtown market, run by Urban Harvest in partnership with the City of Houston, features 35 local vendors selling produce and food items from 11 am – 1:30 pm along City Hall’s reflection pool. The variety ranges from farmers, food trucks, to top local chefs.

New: The Market has expanded its options to continually provide the best local lunch downtown with farmers’ fresh produce, cheeses, coffee, made-to-order and pre-made meal offerings, desserts, and a number of vegan and vegetarian options.

Once again: Local chefs will run cooking demonstrations at the Market each week in the Chef’s Corner.  This week features Chef German Mosquera of Roots Bistro.

This outdoor market is just one more way for Houston to encourage buy local, eat fresh!
