Has your child been watching the Olympics and curious about the sport of kayaking? Then don’t miss the monthly kids’ Kayak Camp at Discovery Green, geared to kids ages 5-16. It’s held the first Sunday of each month, which is around the corner on August 5. For just $5 each, kids will learn safety and instruction of a kayak, and then move on to supervised paddling. Kids can choose from a solo kayak or a tandem kayak with a friend. Parents can join their child in a fun kayak ride after the child completes Kayak Camp.

No reservations are required. Just show up August 5 between 11 am – 5 pm to enjoy the fun. Kayak boat rides are available each Saturday and Sunday at Discovery Green from 11 am – 5 pm. Discovery Green is located downtown at 1500 McKinney.
