What a great back-to-school freebie to give parents a financial break! Here are a few places providing free haircuts this summer:

Supercuts Studio at 5757 Westheimer provides free haircuts each month as part of its advanced hair cutting class. The studio is offering complimentary haircuts to the public by licensed cosmetologists learning advanced techniques. Ask for Marie to receive your free cut or reserve time slot at 713.975.8958. Here are the times for July:

July 26: 9:15 am – 12:30 pm, 2 pm – 3:45 pm
July 27: 9 am to noon, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Remington College Cosmetology’s back-to-school program, Cuts for Kids, returns this year August 13 – August 25 for kids ages 17 and under. Instructors and students provide free haircuts at one of three Houston-area locations. Make an appointment or walk in for the free cuts the two weeks before school starts:

Adults can take advantage of 50 percent off services for themselves, too, when they bring their child. Services include haircuts, styling, and nail care. Last year, Remington College provided more than 2,700 free haircuts in its U.S.-based Cuts for Kids program.

JCPenney salons are offering free haircuts in August for kids K-6th grade. Find a salon near you and make an appointment before they fill up! (thanks to my reader who shared this info…)
