Learn about fire and smoke alarm safety — and get a free 9V battery, to boot — as part of Batteries Plus’ National Fire Prevention Week event. Two Batteries Plus stores in Houston will be participating October 13, 11 am – 3 pm. Kids will love climbing the fire truck from a local fire department and participating in the coloring contest — with prizes.

Each guest will receive a free 9V battery to help remind them that batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be changed when changing the clocks.
