More info on the meningitis vaccine: The meningitis vaccine is now a requirement for students age 29 and younger who attend college. Unfortunately, the state’s $15 meningitis vaccines ended in mid-February for the uninsured or underinsured. But students age 18 and under can still qualify for the discounted vaccine as part of the Vaccines for Children program. According to a recent Chronicle article, prices for the meningitis vaccine can range from $133 at Walgreens to $180 at CVS.
