Free Dog & Cat Adoptions at BARC June 1-3

Go save a life and adopt a new forever friend! BARC city animal shelter is offering free dog and cat adoptions this weekend, June 1-3, from noon to 6 pm. Fees typically are $30 for cats and $75 for dogs and include all vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, and more. Hundreds of animals are available for adoption. The event is sponsored by Bed & Biscuits Pet Spa.

Yes, I know what you mean. My rescue dog cried for 6 weeks at night — I definitely felt like I had a new baby. And it wasn’t even a puppy!
And yes, free is amazing. I hope folks who adopt are prepared for the future pet bills. My daughter wants to go get a free dog from there, but the adoption is the cheap part. The lifetime of the animal can add up!
