THE HERITAGE SOCIETY features a Free Family Day this Sunday, January 24, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.  The Family Day ties in to the Society’s new exhibit about how baseball started in Houston called Rain or Shine: How Houston Developed Space City Baseball.  Families can check out memorabilia from Houston’s professional baseball teams, the Buffs, the Colt.45′s and the Astro’s.  Enjoy the scavenger hunt, baseball crafts, and hanging out with the Houston Astros mascot Junction Jack.  Guests may also visit two of the Heritage’s Society’s historic structures.  The Heritage Society is a museum complex located at 1100 Bagby at Sam Houston Park.
