MAKE PLANS to attend the Free Financial Festival this Saturday, May 1, at the Houston Public Library’s Central location downtown.  The full-day financial event will offer tips and advice for the whole family from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Adults will benefit from the seminars and information booths offering financial services and advice. Kids and young adults will enjoy the special children’s activities, reading groups with local celebrity readers, and seminars geared to college-bound kids around financial assistance. Houston READ Commission and McGraw-Hill Companies are sponsoring the event.

At noon, the City of Houston will proclaim May 1 as The McGraw-Hill Companies Financial Fitness Day for all its efforts in helping Houstonians.  The downtown library is located at 500 McKinney with events held on the outdoor plaza and 1st floor.
