Monday (2/12) — Celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early at this free Family Night Out! That’s My Dog Gourmet Hot Dogs is hosting this special evening at No Label Brewing Company Monday, 4 pm – 9 pm. The evening includes moonwalks, face painting, sweetheart dance, food, DJ, and vendors. Located at No Label Brewing Company, 5351 1st Street in Katy.

Tuesday (2/13) — Cancelled due to weather. Get festive at Fat Tuesday at The Lawn from 5 pm – 7 pm at Memorial City’s newest space, The Lawn. Enjoy a New Orlean’s-style party featuring live music by Marcus Ardoin and Da Zydeco Legendz. The evening also includes lots of swag and beads to throw from the Mardi Gras float. Cajun-style food will be available for purchase from Liberty Kitchen at The Treehouse and Hotel Za Za. Tuesday (2/13) — Artists can take advantage of this free session, Art of Taxes Workshop, sponsored by Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts and Fresh Arts. The session is structured with artists in mind and addresses common artists and IRS regulations that relate to creative practices. This is held 6:30 pm – 8 pm at United Way of Greater Houston, 50 Waugh Street. Free with registration.

Thursday (2/15) — Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is hosting its monthly Craft Social Thursday, 6 pm – 8 pm. This month’s session, dubbed Procrastinator’s Valentine’s Day, will teach attendees how to make a whimsical pop-up Valentine and learn the history of Valentine’s day cards. Visitors also can emboss a key chain or copper pendant with initials or special message. This is hosted by Liana Silva, a Houston-based writer. Located at 4848 Main Street.
