Free Shakespeare in the park returns this summer at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Houston Shakespeare Festival by University of Houston has attracted nearly 500,000 Houstonians to free Shakespeare performances since 1975 at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

This year’s performances feature Hamlet and The Comedy of Errors. These classic Shakespeare plays will delight audiences young and old. It’s a great way to introduce your family to Shakespeare!

Hamlet has captivated audiences for more than 400 years as part supernatural thriller and part revenge tragedy. It hits the stage August 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 at 8:30 pm.

The Comedy of Errors, written by a young Shakespeare, features romance, slapstick, action and more. Performances begin at 8:30 pm August 4, 8, 10, and 12.

Free reserved seat tickets are available each performance day from 10:30 am – 1 pm at Miller Outdoor box office located at 100 Concert Drive in Hermann Park.
