Help celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month in April with free outdoor jazz concerts… Da Camera of Houston is partnering with Discovery Green downtown park to showcase Houston’s jazz vocalist and musician talent each Thursday at Da Camera of Houston JAM (Jazz Appreciation Month) performances. It’s all part of The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History 10th anniversary of Jazz Appreciation Month. Here is the April line-up:

April 7
6:30 pm – Bob Chadwick and Harry Sheppard
7:30 pm – Jazz vocalist Horace Grigsby with the Bob Henschen Trio

April 14
6:30 pm – Paul English Jazz Quartet
7:30 pm – Sebastian Whittaker and the Creators

April 21
6:30 pm – Jazz Guitar Summit featuring Mike Wheeler and Mike Nase with Tim Solook, and David Craig
7:30 pm – Thomas Helton’s Birth of the Cool Project

April 28
