August 26 marks the 19th annual Theater District Open House featuring Houston’s nine performing arts organizations in the downtown Theater District. Catch a sneak peek of upcoming seasons through live performances, meet-n-greet with costumed performers, free trolley rides, dress-up trunk, and backstage tours. The four venues open for backstage tours and performances feature Wortham Theater Center, Alley Theater, Jones Hall, and Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Experience theater, dance, and music, Sunday, August 26 noon to 4 pm. Don’t miss the free Houston Symphony concert at Jones Hall beginning at 4 pm with a sneak peek of the upcoming season including Theme from Jurassic Park and Overture to West Side Story.
