Wednesday (12/7) — Da Camera presents a free holiday concert at noon, Swing a Song for Christmas, featuring Pamela York Trio. Located at Grand Foyer of Wortham Theater Center. This is held the first Wednesday September – May.
Thursday (12/8) — Don’t miss the special lecture, Degas and the 20th Century, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm, at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Tied to the exhibition Degas: A New Vision, Richard Kendall explores Degas’s later creativity, which influenced Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and other artists of their generation. Admission is free each Thursday, so this is free as well! Located at the Law Building, 1001 Bissonnet.
Thursday (12/8) — Journey to Bethlehem, an outdoor walk-through drama portraying the birth of Christ, returns to Katy for its 13th year. The event features live animals and more than 200 actors in costume. Thursday is the free preview night from 7 pm – 9 pm. 1,000 free tickets will be available at the door Thursday, December 8.
