Many communities and neighborhood churches around Houston celebrate Easter weekend with a traditional Easter egg hunt for the kids.  I can’t include every egg hunt around town, but here is a snapshot of a few hunts that caught my eye.  (Feel free to add your community or church egg hunt as a comment…)

Easter Egg Hunt at Old Town Spring
Old Town Spring
Located at end of Spring Cypress, one mile east of I-45
Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m.
Merchants supply the eggs and prizes for the 10 a.m. egg hunt.  For kids 12 and under.  Sign up by 9:30 a.m. Celebration is at Thyme Square at Noble and Preston, one block north of Main Street.

Dye Easter eggs, decorate baskets, practice egg hunt, and photos with the Easter bunny.  Egg hunt for 3 and under begins at 11:15 a.m.  Another hunt at 11:45 a.m. for kids 4 through 5th grade.

    Kingwood Picnic on the park was a no show. Scores of toddlers and excited parents arrived in anticipation of a wonderful treat for the family. No one was there. Nor was there ant notification of cancellation. Nor official with the courtesy of a “sorry”.

    Pilgrim Lutheran Church is having a Easter Egg Hunt and Mini Festival on Saturday, April 23rd at 10 a.m. A small lunch will be provided after the hunt. Children up to 10 years of age. Bring your Easter basket!

    Pilgrim is located in Southwest Houston at Beechnut & Chimney Rock.
