Tickets are still available! Don’t miss the annual Houston Symphony Dollar Concert July 15 at 7:30 pm. Thanks to sponsorship by the Houston Chronicle, this cheap deal is a wonderful annual event for Houstonians for more than 50 years. Conductor Thomas Sondergard conducts Festive Overture (Shostakovich) and Symphony No. 4 (Tchaikovsky). Megan Levin, harp, will perform with the Symphony as the 2012 Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition winner.
General admission tickets cost $1. Reserved seats also are available for $10. The Houston Symphony performs at Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone at 713.224.7575. A $2.50 fee is added for each ticket purchased online.
