It’s a four-day party Greek style! The 46th annual Original Greek Festival returns to Houston October 4-7. Just $5 admission (and kids 12 and under free) is your ticket to complete Greek fun. Enjoy cathedral tours, Greek folk dancing, live music, an Athenian playground featuring children’s activities, and lots of good food! Check out the complete schedule online. Hours are 5 pm – 10 pm Friday, 11 am – 10 pm Saturday, and noon to 6:30 pm Sunday.
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral complex is located at 3511 Yoakum near downtown and the Museum District. Free parking and free shuttle from Lamar High School, to boot!

Please be considerate of people who live in the area when you attend the festival: Don’t park close to or block driveways. Don’t park blocking sidewalks at the corner–it is unsafe for drivers trying to pull through intersections and pedestrians trying to safely cross the street. Don’t throw your trash on the ground for us to pick up. Don’t pee or throw up in our yards. And please don’t be noisy when you leave the festival late at night.
It sounds like you’ve had a bad experience in the past. Sorry… Thanks for the common sense suggestions!
