It’s another national food holiday! National Taco Day (October 4) is around the corner next week. Here are a few Houston venues celebrating with free or cheap deals:
Taco Cabana — This Mexican food chain is grilling up 30,000 chicken breasts to prepare for its pre-celebration of National Taco Day. Taco Cabana is giving away one free Chicken Fajita Taco on Tuesday, October 2, 5 pm – 8 pm per person, while supplies last. No purchase is necessary. Last year they gave away 60,000 tacos!
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop –This taco chain that started in Fort Worth is serving up $1 tacos Thursday, October 4, for its National Taco Day celebration. Dine-in only, excluding fajita tacos. Find Fuzzy’s in Missouri City and Beaumont.
Pollo Campero — This Latin chicken restaurant chain is offering a free taco (with purchase) on October 4. There are three Houston-area locations: 4701 Washington Ave., Missouri City, and Webster. (Thanks to Suddenly Frugal for this tip!)

Sounds good, Thanks. Except that Fajita is a kind of beef, so Chicken Fajita is just a wierd term. We like the “Pink Taco”, and it is right next door to Sonic for a free Texans Slush, as I am sure they will win again.
