A few communities in the Houston area are offering Community Health Fairs in October. Take advantage of these free services if you live in the area:
Community Wellness Day will be held Saturday, October 6, in Pasadena from 11 am – 2 pm. This free event features information relating to health, safety, environmental and financial wellness with computerized health screenings, massage station, kid-friendly fun, law enforcement discussing safety and more. Located at Pasadena Memorial High School, 4410 Crenshaw.
Katy’s Heritage Grand Health Fair takes place Monday, October 8, from 1 pm – 4 pm. This free event features information on nutrition, estate planning, safety and VA benefits and more. The health fair is located at 25125 N. Heritage Grand Circle in Katy. Heritage Grand is a 55+ community for active adults.
The 14th annual Health Fair for Seniors is Tuesday, October 9, at the Humble Civic Center from 8 am to noon. The event includes free flu shots for seniors plus glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. The event also features information on personal safety, independent living, cancer, and other important information for seniors.
The Traders Village Health & Wellness Fair is Sunday, October 14. Enjoy a day of family fun including health and wellness talk and giveaways. Traders Village is located at 7979 N. Eldridge.
As part of its community outreach, Texas Children’s Health Plan offers local community and health fairs throughout the city each month. Check out the October schedule including its Community Health & Wellness Fair, Saturday, October 6, at New Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 9:30 am – noon.
