If you’ve been following this blog awhile, you know I love sweets– and celebrating Pi Day. It’s an annual tradition!
Pi Day on March 14 is a day math lovers and geeks celebrate the mathematical constant pi at 3.14 (date of March 14!). What better way to celebrate than by winning a pie from Royers Round Top Cafe in Round Top, Texas, or Houston’s own Three Brothers Bakery, a family-owned business for five generations.
Pi Day Deals: Today only, you can save 10% off pies at Three Brothers Bakery by mentioning Pi Day or Houston on the Cheap. Royers is having its own pie sale with slices costing $3.14 each through March 17. That’s a savings of $1.61!
Three winners of today’s contest will have a whole pie shipped to their door by Royers Round Top Cafe (approximate $40 value each with shipping). This quaint cafe sits on Main Street in Round Top with population 77, about half-way between Houston and Austin. The town is famous for its annual antique fair, folk art fairs — and Bud’s pies at Royers. The cafe sells about 10,000 pies per year in the cafe since 1987 and ships thousands more by mail order.
A fourth winner will receive a Chocolate Fudge Pecan Pie from Three Brothers Bakery. Winner can pick up the pie at Three Brothers’ Memorial or Braeswood locations. The Chocolate Fudge Pecan is a local favorite and won best “Mailorder Pie American Has to Offer” by Country Living.
CONTEST: Comment on this blog post to enter to win one of four pies in Houston on the Cheap’s annual Pi(e) Day contest. One entry per person. Duplicate entries will be deleted. Contest ends March 15 at 8 pm. Winners will be randomly selected from my blog app, And the Winner is…. I’ll post the winning names on the blog and send an e-mail directly to the winners. Good luck!
