Stay Cool at Noah’s Ark Pool for Houston Fun
posted by Vicki Powers on June 15, 2012

The Noah’s Ark Pool, part of First United Methodist Church’s Quillian Center in West Houston (Westchase), is geared to toddlers, pre-K, and early elementary-aged kids. Hence the name, an ark structure with animals is centered in the shallow pool with three slides, a mushroom water drop, and spraying from the animals.

The area also includes a large swimming pool, outdoor basketball pavilion, indoor climbing wall, and gymnasium. Pack a picnic lunch and eat outside the gates at picnic tables to save some money! Or cheap concessions are available including $2 pizza and $1.50 hot dogs. Pool hours are 10 am – 4 pm, Monday through Saturday, till August 24 (with Noah’s Ark pool hours 10 am – 2 pm August 27 – August 31).  Sundays are closed for private parties.

Admission: $6.50 each with kids under 1 free. Purchase a “20-Swim Pass”, which provides 20 daily admissions for $100 ($5 each).

      Linda,
I’m sorry, I don’t know of any place in the Spring area. I did an online search as well, but didn’t find anything.

Maybe someone in that area can suggest something here, too.

Have you been to this park Vicki? It looks SO fun! It’s quite the drive for us though.

      Heather,
Yes, I’ve taken my kids many times when they were toddler to elementary. Lots of fun. My girls are 4 years apart, and it was a great venue for both their needs. We even rented The Ark pool out for my daughter’s b-day years ago.. Lots of fun memories…
