teacher appreciation dayWe owe teachers so much thanks and gratitude for their daily encouragement and interaction teaching our children. Several Houston businesses are recognizing Teacher Appreciation Day with deals or freebies this week.

Chick-fil-A — Houston-area locations are spoiling teachers with a free Chick-fil-A Sandwich May 3, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. No coupon required. No purchase necessary. Valid ID required.

Chipotle — It’s a buy-one, get-one free deal at Chipotle May 3 for teachers, faculty and staff members. From 3 p.m. to close, educators can get a free burrito, bowl, taco or salad with purchase of another. Valid ID required. One per person.

Salata — On May 3, teachers can get half off any salad or wrap at Salata with a valid school ID.

Catfish Station — Teachers can enjoy a buy-one, get-one free Catfish Basket as a thank you for their dedication. Coupon required in link. This is valid at two locations: 9522 Huffmeister, Ste. 500 and 18416 Kuykendahl in Spring. Valid through May 7 with teacher ID.

PDQ — Teachers will be celebrated May 3 at PDQ with a free combo meal (3-piece tenders, salad or sandwich). Valid school ID required.

Houston Astros — Educators will be recognized at Houston Astros game May 3, 7:10 p.m., for Teacher Appreciation Night. Teachers will receive an Astros navy tote bag. Ticket packages are available for $25 in mezzanine and $30 in Field Box IV.

SeaWorld — Texas teachers can play at SeaWorld with free unlimited admission through December 31, 2016, thanks to the Teacher Appreciation Fun Card. This is for Pre-K through 12th grade active and certified teachers. New this year: a third-party company (ID.me) will provide online verification of Pre-K – 12th grade Texas school teachers. A Department of Education number is required. Sign up online at SeaWorld.
