The Museum Experience is a new quarterly series in Houston’s vibrant Museum District — kicking off January 26. It essentially divides the district’s 19 museums into four zones and highlights the museums in that zone each quarter to inform and educate Houstonians. Note: museums with regular admission will not be free.

This new cultural block party will be held the last Saturday of January, April, July and September with January 26 being the first! Zone 1 this Saturday includes The Menil Collection (Cy Twombly, Richmond Hall), Rothko Chapel, and Houston Center for Photography. The day features special programming, pedicabs in select zones, and food trucks. Zone 1′s schedule of events features lots of fun including a photo scavenger hunt, Iphoneography class, tai chi class, three musical performances, and more.
