Space is still available to make reservations! Kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) get a special evening just for them tonight at the Children’s Museum of Houston. The museum is closing to the public, Monday August 20, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and inviting families affected by Autism to its Sensory-Friendly evening. What a wonderful opportunity for these kids to explore the museum in their own way and time. Reservations are required. Contact Lydia Dungus (713) 535-7238, ldungus@cmhouston.org.
Not only will the environment be accepting and protected, but parents will be able to make valuable connections with other families. No music will be playing during this time. Sound-reducing headphones will be available. Families are invited to bring their own food, if needed, since the cafe will be closed. Admission is just $5 for Sensory-Friendly evening August 20. The Children’s Museum is located at 1500 Binz.
