Tour Vintage World War II Bomber in Houston September 8
posted by Vicki Powers on September 07, 2012

What a unique opportunity if you love planes and history! The B-17 Texas Raiders will be giving tours Saturday, September 8, at Hooks Airport in Spring. This B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber is only one of 11 in the country still flying today.

Visitors can see the flight deck, walk the catwalk, see and touch morse code equipment, look down the sight of two machine guns and climb around the ball turret. A $5 tax-deductible donation is asked of visitors who tour the plane. Die-hard fans can take the Living History Flight Experience, a 30 minute ride aboard Texas Raiders for $425. Hooks Airport is located in Spring at 9310 Max Conrad Drive.
