Williams-Sonoma offers free in-store cooking and technique classes. Sundays are typically tech classes. Here is the July calendar with a special summer theme:

• July 7 — DIY Canning: The Basics
  
• July 14 — Grow, Cook, Eat — Tomatoes
  
• July 21 — DIY Canning: Tomato Sauce & Salsa
  
• July 28 – Grow, Cook Eat — Summer Fruit
  

These technique classes are free, but reservations are recommended to reserve your spot. Times vary by location: Sundays at 11 am, 1 pm, Town & Country Village (713.827.8056); Sundays at noon, Highland Village (713.212.0346); Sundays at 2 pm, The Woodlands Mall (281.298.6915); Sundays at noon, Baybrook Mall (281.480.1705); plus 11 am Saturday and 1:30 pm Sunday at First Colony Mall (281.313.1180). Participants get 10% off same-day purchases.
