About The Christmas Train in Alvin

This enchanting Christmas-themed journey occurs annually, attracting both locals and visitors for several reasons.

For one, this nostalgic ride is the perfect way to make Christmas memories! Gather your friends and family, hop on The Christmas Train, and settle into a heartwarming holiday experience. Breathe in the cool, winter air, snuggle up to loved ones, marvel at glittery light displays (over 300,000 lights in total!), and snap plenty of photos — The Christmas Train will lead the way! This quick ride usually lasts for about eight to twelve minutes; however, it’s jam-packed with holiday magic and dazzling sights.

Of these displays, you’ll see an elaborate gingerbread village, life-size storybook illustrations, penguin snow lands, and more.

Delicious snacks will also be available for purchase, including hot cocoa, handmade pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, and other festive eats.

In addition, the train is a vision within itself! The train is made up of open-air coaches, giving it an old-fashioned look and feel that’s unusual to come by these days.

What’s more, its design provides the perfect setting for a few holiday photos!

All in all, this locomotive journey will light up your kids’ imaginations with its larger-than-life views, features, and offerings.

This all-ages event is an excellent way to get to soak in the spirit of the holidays.

In order to stay COVID-19 safe, organizers have put new safety measures in place this year.

They ask that guests ages 10 and up to wear masks and follow proper social distancing guidelines.

Additionally, the train will operate at 50% capacity to allow guests to safely space out, and plexiglass dividers have been installed between the train seats.
