Forget two-day shipping, and instead enjoy some good old fashioned, brick-and-mortar shopping.
Shoppers in The Woodlands will soon have an opportunity to shop some of the top-trending products from Amazon as the e-commerce giant plans to open its 4-Star Store at The Woodlands Mall, according to the mall ownership at Brookfield Properties. The store, which is scheduled to open in mid-September, will also sell all of its Amazon-branded products, like Kindles and Alexa-enabled devices.
Amazon 4-Star Stores are curated using customer ratings, reviews, and sales data from its hundreds of millions of products and are displayed with categories, like “Most-Wished-For” or “Frequently Bought Together.”
In other words, it’s like the best of the Amazon website, but it’s real and right in front of you to touch.
This marks the second 4-Star Store in Texas. The other is at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.
Amazon has continued to expand its physical footprint across the country, with Amazon Books and Amazon Go Grocery brick-and-mortar locations.
The company is now also eyeing the space occupied by shuttered department stores, like Sears and JCPenney, for distribution centers. Specifically, Simon Property Group, the nation’s largest mall operator, has reportedly been in talks with Amazon about converting those large spaces.
