Ashley McBryde – The Rock and Roll Country Star

Ashley McBryde, a singer-songwriter, infuses her traditional country music with elements of rock and roll and honky-tonk soul. McBryde, who was born and raised in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, developed a love for music at a young age. At the age of three, she attempted to play her father’s guitar for the first time, and by the time she was seventeen, she had written her first song. Ashley McBryde, the name of the album she made in 2005, was released in 2006. In an effort to break into the country music industry, she moved to Music City in 2007 and formed a band that performed everywhere.

McBryde started serving as the opening act for country music legends like Chris Stapleton, Hank Williams Jr., and Willie Nelson after the release of her second record, Elsebound, in 2011. Many prominent figures in the country music industry, including Eric Church in 2016, were drawn to McBryde’s talent. As a result, other people began to take note. Her single, “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” became a big hit thanks to this newfound fame, and in June 2017, she made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry.

A year after making her Grand Ole Opry debut, McBryde signed with Warner Music Nashville and released Girl Going Nowhere, her major-label debut record. With this record, McBryde received her first GRAMMY® nomination for Best Country Album as well as the Favorite Country Albums trophy. For her 2020 record, Never Will, McBryde received another Favorite Country Album Award, demonstrating that she has no plans to slow down anytime soon. With her distinctive sound and lyrics, she continues to sell out concerts across the nation.
