There’s something new brewing at this year’s Texian Market Days festival, which returns to Richmond this weekend.
Along with all of the great history reenactments — from costumed interpreters to battle re-enactments — organizers of the festival are truly putting the “market” back in the Texian Market Days, with a slew of new food vendors and, for those 21 years and older, a dedicated beer garden!
That’s right — while you’re taking in all of the history and festivities, you can enjoy sipping on delicious brews!
There’s also going to be tons of food to snack on throughout the day, including kettle corn, Indian food, German food, BBQ, burgers, tamales, kabobs, pretzels, Dippin’ Dots ice cream, and Kona Ice shaved ice, to name just a few. You can learn more about the food options and see a festival map here.
The 36th annual Texian Market Days festival is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at George Ranch Historical Park, 10215 FM 762 Road in Richmond.
Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for seniors and $15 for kids 4-12. Those who are 4 and under get in for free.
Want to save money on admission? Come to the festival in full historic costume and you’ll get 50% off admission at the gate! The festival organizers even offer costume ideas for women, men, and kids.
The festival celebrates 150 years of Texas history, from the colonial days of the 1820s all the way through World War II and beyond. So, it’s a definitely a fun — and educational — event for the whole family.
