Better Out West Fest: A Free Music Fest and Family Day

Go West! If you’re looking for a music festival to cut a rug on a beautiful Saturday this spring, strap on your boots and scoot on over to Fulshear for Better Out West Fest on April 21. Our pick of the week for best free weekend fun includes live music, food trucks, kid’s activities, rock climbing, and more!

Get your fill of adventure and entertainment at this awesome (and free!) event hosted by Jordan Ranch. The new home community in Fulshear will open their state-of-the-art activity hub, The Shed, to the public for an afternoon of  fun and entertainment. Waltz on by any of their thirteen beautiful model homes while you’re there- but this event is open to everyone! Come one, come all, Better Out West Fest is a great way for anyone to spend a Saturday.

Arrive early for Family Day starting at 3 pm and let the kids monkey around with face painting and bounce houses. Rock climbing, obstacle courses, mechanical bull riding, and a zip-line through the community will be on site for kids of all ages to participate.

Live music kicks off with a free open-air concert starting at 5 pm. An opening performance by country artist Jay Allen will help you cool off from all the fun in the sun. Then, CMA award- winning artists Maddie & Tae will take the stage to bring out the stars and rock the night away.

Of course, food trucks will be on hand to cool you off with drinks and their delicious food to satisfy your foodie heart. We wouldn’t let you go hungry! Smoke It Up BBQ, Craft Burger, The Shiver Shack, SheCupcakes Bake Shoppe, and more will be serving up beer, bites, and desserts all afternoon long.

Nestled off of I-10, just west of Katy and south of Brookshire, this master planned community is a no-brainer choice for April Drools, Houston’s largest model home tour. The community features delightful amenities such as the Lazy River and Event Lawn, opening this summer. It’s better living out west with the convenience of the city Katy, TX nearby. Be sure to check out their commercial below:

Parking and admission to the concert are FREE so boot-scoot on over to one of the best free events in Houston this month. Get free tickets and more information here.
