central green moviesThe weather didn’t cooperate for much of the free outdoor fun earlier this month at Willow Fork Drainage District’s (WFDD) Central Green Park in Katy. But here are the remaining activities on the January calendar for free family fun!

January 24
Tai Chi — 8:30 am
Tai Chi is a slow and gentle exercise perfect for all levels– beginner to advanced. This Chinese exercise system uses slow body movements to achieve a state of relaxation.

Kaia Fit — 10 am
If you love Zumba, you’ll love this high energy class, Kaia Jam! Participants will sign a waiver before the class.

NFL Play 60 — 11 am – noon
Local students will have the opportunity to participate in an NFL Play 60 event, just like they’ve seen on TV. This NFL campaign encourages kids to be active at least 60 minutes a day to tackle childhood obesity. Play 60 Katy is part of the Amobi Okoye Foundation and Kickoff 4 Kids, a local Katy nonprofit.

January 30
Concert for a Cause — 6 pm
Enjoy live music from local Katy bands at Concert for a Cause, benefiting the Cancer Foundation of your choice. Performances include Unchained Prophecy, Something Else, Two Dollar Pistol, and headliner Point Blank Society. Bring a canned good to benefit Katy Christian Ministry.
