City Hall farmers marketOne more week! Houston’s City Hall Farmers Market returns next Wednesday, September 17, after a short summer hiatus. This downtown market, run by Urban Harvest in partnership with the City of Houston, features 30+ local vendors selling produce and food items from 11 am – 1:30 pm along City Hall’s reflection pool.

On September 17, guests include Chris Shepherd of Underbelly and Brian Cushing of the Houston Texans plus live music from The Zydeco Dots. Local chefs will again run cooking demonstrations at the Market each week in the Chef’s Corner.

The Market provides the best local lunch downtown with farmers’ fresh produce, cheeses, coffee, breads, a variety of prepared foods, desserts, and food trucks. Or folks can grab ready-to-eat or packaged to-go foods for a quick healthy lunch.

While downtown folks can walk over, those driving in can park at metered street parking, at Hobby Center (800 Bagby) for just $2 per hour (when no Hobby events take place) or Tranquility Park garage (400 Rusk) at $3 for up to 1 hour and $6 for 1-2 hours.
