To welcome the most wonderful time of the year, the city of Tomball is hosting its Deck the Depot (formerly dubbed “Christmas on Commerce) event this weekend. This one-day holiday festival offers a ton of fun for all ages and activities for all ages to enjoy.
The annual “Deck the Depot” event has turned into quite the tradition in the town of Tomball, as city crews and volunteers decorate 50 lamp posts with ornaments and adornments, turning the Depot in downtown Tomball into a winter wonderland.
This year’s event takes place Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 am to 3 pm, and it’s jam-packed with activities, live entertainment, games and a Santa’s workshop for kids. Oh, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photos from 1 to 3 pm!
And the best part? Parking and admission are 100% free.
There’s plenty of fun to be had for the little ones at this year’s celebration. The special “Kids Zone” includes a Christmas train and Santa’s Workshop, where they can make their own ornaments and holiday crafts to bring home.
Looking for that perfect Christmas gift for a loved one? Many vendors will be on hand selling one-of-a-kind arts and crafts you can’t find anywhere else. As always, there will be a range of vendors offering great food and drink as well throughout the event.
This is sure to be a popular event, so get there early and enjoy a full day of family fun!
The event takes at 201 South Elm at the Historic Tomball Depot. See the flyer below for more details or visit their Facebook event page:
