Dinosaurs Houston Zoo

At long last, dinosaurs have come to the Houston Zoo. While we all wish Jurassic Park will become reality and the zoo will someday host true-to-life dinosaurs of all kinds, the Houston Zoo has the next best thing: life-size animatronic dinosaurs ready to scare and amaze kids of all ages!

From May 24 until September 2, 2019, the Houston Zoo’s new DINOSAURS exhibit transports zoo guests back in time to the Mesozoic Era to explore the exotic, prehistoric landscape that dinosaurs called home. Visitors can get up close and personal with these life-life robotic dinosaurs to get a sense of what it would be like to stand next to an in-the-flesh thunder lizard.

DINOSAURS includes many of the world’s most popular dinosaurs like the formidable Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as lesser-known dinosaurs like Utahraptor and Stegoceras. These fully animated dinosaurs can move their heads, arms, and tails, and even spit water.

After the DINOSAURS  exhibit, guests are invited to then visit dinosaurs’ closest living relative: birds. At Houston Zoo’s three different bird exhibits – the Fischer Bird Garden, Tropical Bird House, and Birds of the World – guests can draw connections between the animatronic animals of the DINOSAURS exhibit and the living descendants of these magical, prehistoric beasts.

The easiest way to see DINOSAURS is with the Houston Zoo’s Value Pass. For just $24.95 for adults and $22.95 for children, guests receive general zoo admission, unlimited Wildlife Carousel rides, a collectible conservation bracelet, and the best part: all-day entry to DINOSAURS! You know you’re going to want to see it more than once.
