Houston may be an urban jungle but we have plenty of green space to grow our own locally sourced products. There are dozens of artisan and farmers markets in Houston and the surrounding area where you can find everything from fresh fruits and veggies to hand made soaps and art. Going to the local farmers market is always one of our favorite weekend activities.

Canino’s Produce Co.– A congregation of local farmers selling a huge selection of fruits, vegetables, seeds, spices, mexican candy, dried fruits, and more. This is one of the largest farmers markets in Houston and it’s open seven days a week from 6 am to 7 pm. Find them at 2520 Airline Dr.
Rice University Farmers Market– Open every Tuesday afternoon, rain or shine! You can get your fix of kombucha, fresh produce, baked goods, dog treats, artisans oils, and confections. The market is family- and dog- friendly and opens in the afternoon from 3:30- 6:30 pm. They’re located at 5600 Greenbriar Dr.
Central City Co-Op– One of the oldest organic co-ops in Houston is open each Wednesday from 9 am- 6 pm. Become a member to enjoy discounted prices and help keep the co-op running. You’ll find a selection of the most freshly picked produce around. They’re located at 2515 Waugh Dr. inside Kindred Church.
City Hall Farmers Market– Open every Wednesday from February through June, this Houston farmers market located in Hermann Square carries a variety of coffee, eggs, prepared meals, produce, and food trucks. The market is only open from 11 am to 1:30 pm, so be sure to be on time! Find them across from City Hall at 901 Bagby St.
Urban Harvest East Side Farmers Market– One of the oldest and largest farmers markets in Houston is open every Saturday, year round, from 8 am to noon. Stop by the covered tents for over 60 vendors carrying produce, seafood, meats, and everything in between. Find them at 3000 Richmond Ave.
Eleanora’s Market– Over 30 vendors descend on Ella Boulevard every Saturday to sell high quality meats, cheeses,jams, baked goods, and artisan crafts like art, textiles, flower arrangements, and more. The market is family and dog friendly and open rain or shine from 9 am to noon. You’ll find them at 2120 Ella Blvd.
Blue Field Market– A fun filled, family-friendly farmer’s market featuring baked goods, produce, gourmet food, jewelry, clothing, home goods, photography, house plants, and more. This market is open every Saturday night from 6 pm- 10 pm. Be there on time for free yoga! Find them at 2619 Polk St.
Heights Epicurean Farmers Market– Every first Saturday of the month from 8:30- 1 pm, you can find a collection of vendors in the Heights selling fresh produce, jams and jellies, desserts, prepared foods, olive oils, coffee, and hand crafted jewelry and art. The market is open rain or shine! They’re located at 1245 Heights Blvd.
Gramen Farm– This is a different kind of farmers market, coming straight from the friendly staff in their farm store. You will find a selection of coffee, tea, honey, eggs, meat, milk, yogurt, artisan cheeses, and produce all made right there on the farm. The farm, located in Tomball, is open daily, various hours. You can find them at 20158 Baur Hockley Road.
Theiss Farms Market– This family farm plants seasonally and is open March through October. They carry not only a full line of fruits and vegetables but also freshly picked flowers. They have two locations in Spring- one near the Woodlands, and one near Klein. Their hours vary.
Kingwood Farmers Market– Every Thursday, rain or shine, you’ll find a selection of fresh produce, freshly baked bread, herbs, international cuisine, and more. The market opens from 2- 6 pm, or 3- 7 pm during Daylight Savings Time. They’re located at 8 N. Main in Kingwood.
Magnolia Farmers & Artisans Market– Offering a variety of fresh produce, wine, grass fed meats, pastas, goat cheese, and hand crafted items like chainmail, quilts, and more. The market is open every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of the month from 11 am to 3 pm. They’re located at 18850 FM 1488 in Magnolia.
The Woodland’s Farmers Market at Grogan’s Mill– Every Saturday from 8 am- noon, you can find a high quality selection of locally grown produce, prepared foods, home made confections, beeswax, and hand made art. The market is family and dog friendly, located at 7 Switchbud Place.
Farmers Market on Tamina– Setting up each Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, this market offers a variety of meats, produce, baked goods, sauces and seasonings, prepared foods, and hand made arts and crafts. You can find them at 32901 Tamina Road in Magnolia.
The Farm Stand at Petrol Station– You’ll find a wide selection of vendors from Indian cuisine to meats and cheeses, confections, produce, olive oils, and more. They are open every Saturday from 9 am- 1 pm, located at 948 Wakefield Drive.
Locavore Farmers Market– Open from 9 am- 1 pm every 3rd Saturday of the month year round, you can find locally grown produce, plants, baked goods, baked goods, hand made crafts, and more. They are located inside of Lakewood United Methodist Church at 11330 Louetta Road.
Conroe Saturday AM Farmers Market– Offering a large selection of fresh produce including fruits, veggies, eggs, and honey, this market is open every Saturday morning from 9 am to noon. You can find them located at 135 N. Main in Conroe.
Jersey Village Farmers Market– Opening up on the first Sunday of every month, from noon to 3 pm. This family-friendly market offers everything from bath products to home made hot sauce. Vendor products also include tea, fresh produce, confections, specialty olive oils, and more. Find them at 16327 Lakeview Drive.
Pavlock Farms– This small family farm offers seasonal produce like tomatoes, okra, purple hull peas, fruits, fresh eggs, and jarred goods. They’re open from May through October, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. They’re located in Rosenburg at 210 Huntington Road.
Meyerland Farmers Market– Each Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, you’ll find a wide selection of home made meals, olives, freshly baked bread, as well as produce, desserts, goat cheese, and more. The market is open every Saturday year round located at 8601 Chimney Rock.
Farmers Market at Imperial– Offering produce from local farmers, small-bath prepared meals, free- range chicken, local honey and eggs, and much more, this market in Sugar Land also offers pop ups from local chefs, food trucks, and live music. They’re open every Saturday from 9 am- 1 pm at 234 Matlage Way in Sugar Land.
Friendswood Farmers Market– This market caters to fresh produce, honey, artisan breads, and hand-crafted products. They are open every first Saturday of the month from 9 am to 1 pm at Stevenson Park in Friendswood.
Pearland Farmers Market– Every 2nd Saturday of the month, you can shop locally grown produce, honey, spices, soaps, and more. Other vendors include home made pinatas, hand made jewelry, reclaimed wood art, and more. Find them at 11200 Broadway St. in Pearland.
Galveston’s Own Farmers Market– Open every Sunday morning and Thursday afternoon, this non profit connects you with local farmers, ranchers, bakeries, cheese-makers, and specialty food producers. You can also find sea salt, kombucha, olive oils, dog treats, and more. Hours vary but you can find them at 1315 21st St. in Galveston.
Nassau Bay Farmers Market– A modest organic-based farmers market featuring produce, eggs, meat, and locally made products. The market is open outside of Erma’s Nutrition Center every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. They’re located at 18045 Upper Bay Road in Nassau Bay.
East End Farmer’s Market– This is a year round market open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. You can find garden fresh fruits and veggies, locally sourced farm and dairy products, prepared foods, and other hand made wares. The market also has a 4th Friday Night Market featuring the same great products as well as live entertainment! They are located at 2800 Navigation Blvd.
Westchase District Farmers Market– Offering a variety of seasonally- grown fruits and veggies, this market is open every Thursday starting at 3 pm. You will also find baked goods, prepared foods, nuts, honey, condiments, dairy, and more. They’re located next to the church at 10503 Westheimer Rd.
HG Produce– Open most weekends, this family operated farm stand carries locally grown fruits and veggies. Their products are home grown and also trucked in from local area farms. They also sell jarred goods like salsas and jams seasonally. Find them at 24703 Saddlespur Lane in Katy.
Memorial Villages Farmers Market– This eclectic market features everything from high quality vendors, live music, children’s playgrounds, food demonstrations, guest lectures, and more. You’ll find fresh produce, baked goods, coffee, jellies, and more. The pet-friendly market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
Farmers Market on Grand Parkway– Here you’ll find farm fresh eggs, pure honey, grass fed beef, fresh produce, and more. They’re open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8 am to noon located at 1225 Grand Parkway in Katy.
Tomball Farmers Market– A weekly, year round market offering everything from honey to baked goods, and more. You’ll also find fresh produce, meats and dairy, and hand made crafts. The market is open rain or shine every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. They’re located at 205 W. Main Street in Tomball.
Energy Corridor Farmers Market– Every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, you’ll find a variety of products from hand made soaps, fresh honey, locally sourced produce, and more. You can find them at 14710 Grisby Road.
Bellville Farmer’s Market– A seasonal selection of fruits and veggies, grass fed beef, seafood, herbs, baked goods, fresh eggs, custard, and hand crafted arts and crafts. The market is open every 1st Saturday of the month from 9 am to noon. They’re located at at the Jim Bishop Pavilion in Bellville.
Chimney Rock Market– This pet and family friendly market features live music, local artists, freshly squeezed lemonade, prepared foods, and organic, farm fresh fruits and veggies. They’re open the first Sunday of every month starting at noon. You’ll find them at 3300 Chimney Rock.
The Farmers Market at Bridgeland– Open every Sunday from 12:30- 3: 30, rain or shine. You can find artisan breads, seeds, eggs, prepared foods, and local farmers offering fruits and vegetables. They’re located at 16902 Bridgeland Landing in Cypress.
