The program costs $150, but as a Father’s Day 2021 deal, Hermann Park Railroad is allowing you to bring along a guest with you at no additional cost!
About the Train Engineer For a Day Program at Hermann Park, Houston
What: The program provides an experience of working as a train engineer as participants work alongside the crew at the Hermann Park Railroad. The day starts with working closely with the Railroad team as they perform safety checks and morning activities at the maintenance barn. Next activity is taking a private train ride as a preliminary test run.
Work involves taking tickets, greeting tourists, and assisting them to their seats at Kinder Station. Participants will enjoy riding the train, blowing the whistle, and ringing the bell! An engineer’s cap, bandana, railway whistle, name badge, and certificate is given to each participant.
Where: 1700 Hermann Dr, Houston, TX 77004
When: The program starts at 8:30 am and runs until 12:30 pm.
Who: Anyone between the ages of 7 and 107 is eligible to participate
How Much: $150 per person, but for Father’s day, you can bring along one other eligible person at no additional cost
