Tuesday (4/15) — Get ready for Monster Truck fun at Discovery Green’s Toddler Tuesday. The free weekly event begins at 10:30 am, but arrive as early as 9:30 am for photo opp with the Monster Truck. Toddlers over 30 inches can ride in a real monster truck at the park! Kids also will build their own monster truck out of cardboard boxes. Bring your own box in case they run out! Located at 1500 McKinney.

Wednesday (4/16) — It’s Family Rewind night with a $2 movie (almost free!) at Studio Movie Grill. This month’s feature is Goonies (PG-13) staring Sean Astin and Josh Brolin. Watch at both Houston locations: Copperfield and CityCentre.

Wednesday (4/16) — Enjoy a free kayak class at Discovery Green, thanks to Buffalo City Adventures. The Wednesday session is for adults 18+. Kids can attend on weekends. No registration required — just show up and have fun. This free class meets every Wednesday April through October.

Thursday (4/17) — Attend a free opening reception at University of Houston-Clear Lake Art Gallery, 5 pm – 7 pm. The gallery will be featuring work in a variety of media by Bachelor of Fine Arts graduating seniors. As the sponsor, Saint Arnold will be providing free craft beer! Free parking also is available in the Visitor Lot or Lot D.

Thursday (4/17) — Catch a free documentary for iFest’s Inaugural Film Festival honoring Australia. This week’s feature is Breaking Boundaries, a documentary about the Houston Ballet featuring Australian native Stanton Welch, artistic director for the Houston Ballet. Seating is first-come, first-served. Located at Sundance Cinemas, 510 Texas Ave.

Thursday (4/17) — Unwind with a free outdoor Spring concert Thursdays at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. This week features a young Latin group, Jalea, from 6 pm – 8 pm. Located at Heritage Square at LaCenterra, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
