See an outdoor musical — Don’t miss the free spring musical, Footloose The Musical, at Miller, presented by HITS Theatre. It kicks off at 8 pm. Free tickets for covered seating are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. Located at Miller Outdoor Theatre, 6000 Hermann Park Dr.

Enjoy live music — Central Green Park welcomes The White Stone Band — back by popular demand! The White Stone Band is made up of nine Katy area worship music veteran musicians with a passion for Funk, Jazz and R&B. All the members play regularly on the worship teams at various Katy area churches. Music begins at 7 pm at WFDD’s Central Green Park, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Clean up HoustonVolunteer to help beautify Houston as the city comes together for a citywide effort for Keep Houston Beautiful Day! Different work sites are listed that need assistance. For it’s 30th anniversary, it’s targeting 30 sites, 3,000 volunteers and 30,000 pounds of rash pick up.

Meet a princess — Enjoy a magical Saturday morning at Princess Picnic at WFDDs Central Green park beginning at 9 am! Kids will experience meet-n-greets, dance, sing, and watch special performances from their favorite Princesses and Pointe of Grace competition team. Located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Watch amazing dance — Cypress Creek FACE presents a free children’s performance featuring Street Dance. The group Soul Street shares a variety of dance moves and the origin of them. The free performance begins at 10 am. Located at Centrum, 6823 Cypresswood.

Attend a unique festival — Don’t miss A Festival of Curiosities at Rice University, which includes hands-on activities, art, entertainment and lectures to celebrate 50 years of Glassock School, where Houstonians take personal and professional development on the Rice campus. The 11 am – 2 pm schedule includes lectures, sidewalk chalk art by Houston Via Colori artists, kid-friendly activities, Rice Owl Marching Band performance, photo booth and collage wall, LEGO community build and food trucks. Located at Rice University Glasscock School, 6100 University.

Watch creativity in motionWatch nearly 300 cars, skaters and more in the 30th annual Houston Art Car Parade! It’s what makes Houston so unique. And it’s dubbed the world’s largest art car parade in the world. Cars begin lining up at 11 am on Smith Street downtown. The Kids Zone opens at 11 am. The parade is 2 pm – 4 pm, rain or shine! Cheech Marin is the parade’s Grand Marshal this year. The parade will roll along Smith Street in downtown Houston.

Weave a basket — This month’s Second Saturday Settler series features Basket Weaving from 1 pm – 3 pm. Experience early settler life at the homestead. Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center is located in Humble at 20634 Kenswick Drive.

Enjoy family time outside — It’s another weekend of 2nd Saturday at The Depot in Tomball. The free event includes games and activities beginning at 6 pm and a free outdoor movie, Wall:E, beginning at 6 pm. This is located at 201 S. Elm in Tomball.

Watch free outdoor movies — There are several options for free outdoor movies this Saturday: 1) Sugar Land Town Square: Catch Storks Saturday, 7:45 pm, at Sugar Land Town Square. 2) Discovery Green: It’s Bank of America Screen on the Green featuring Moana, 8 pm. Located at 1500 McKinney. 3) Tomball: Watch Norm of the North beginning at 6 pm as part of 2nd Saturday at The Depot. Located at 201 S. Elm.

Do yoga in the gardens — Enjoy Yoga in the Gardens Sunday at 9 am! In this free program co-hosted with the Breakfast Yoga Club, yogis are invited to bring their mats and celebrate the spring season amidst the wooded landscape of Rienzi’s gardens. Guests may tour the house and gardens after class. Light refreshments are available. Located at Rienzi, 1406 Kirby.
