freeze cancerHelp support a great cause and have fun, to boot! Ice at the Galleria is hosting a charity night, August 21, 5 pm – 8 pm to support The University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. The Freeze Cancer event is just a flat $10 per person, including skate rentals.

Families will enjoy lots of activities including free intro skating lessons, shoot-to-score contest, on and off ice activities, hockey and figure skating demonstrations, prize giveaways, interactive fun by Fish Gallery and Laka Nailes, and an appearance by the rink’s mascot, Chillsworth the Penguin.

Attendees also can help “freeze cancer” by decorating the ice with their name, memory, or drawing. There will be food samples on hand, as well, from Raising Canes, Pretzel Place, Poparazzi Popcorn, Thirsty’s Smoothies, Peppers Palace, and Sabarro Pizza.

Ice at the Galleria is located at the Galleria Mall, 5015 Westheimer.
