Splash pads are the perfect way to cool off in the summer! The super fun Gateway Fountain splash pad at Discovery Green is a popular spot for children to play every day. With 14 foot high arcing jets on a gently sloping granite surface, the fountain can provide hours of joy!

The Gateway Fountain will be open on Mondays from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Tuesday – Sunday from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm starting May 28, 2021. In case of rain and thunder, the fountain will be closed.
While the fountain was closed for the last 15 months due to COVID concerns, Discovery Green Conservancy replaced the U/V sanitizer equipment and the chemical control system thanks to a CARES Act grant of $146,000. Now with increased sanitation, the Gateway Fountain is a safe, outdoor fun activity for the whole family!
Per the CDC, there are no scientific reports of Covid-19 spreading through water in pools, hot tubs or water playgrounds. Fully vaccinated visitors are not required to wear a mask per CDC guidelines. Unvaccinated guests are required to wear a mask if entering a public building and are highly recommended to mask in crowded settings.
