Great news for all stargazers. George Observatory is open again!!! After almost two years of remodeling, the George Observatory now features real time camera feeds from telescopes and laser tours of the night sky with expert astronomers.
Are your children curious about space? Have they seen Mars or the rings of Saturn through a telescope? Explore the galaxy with your family at the George Observatory which has been around since Fall of 1989! Visitors are encouraged to bring their own binoculars or telescope and view the night sky with expert guidance.
Tours and talks by experts are still available even if skies are overcast. Face masks are required for anyone 10 years and older.
George Observatory is part of the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences and is located at 21901 FM 762, Needville, TX 77461 within the Brazos Bend State Park.
Tickets are just $10 and are available on a limited bases given social distancing requirements. Advance purchase is required.
