Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Summer Camp

For decades, millions of American children have spent their summers at camps, exploring the great outdoors, learning new things, and making new best friends. America might have changed quite a lot in recent years, but one thing has remained the same: the magic of summer camps. This summer, give your girl the gift of a Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council summer camp and let her make lifelong memories she’ll cherish forever.

The mission statement of the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is to “build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place,” and each of their summer camps is designed to do just that for girls in grades K-12. There are camps of all types and durations designed to fit into any family’s schedule, and all camps are overseen by specially trained staff and supervisors trained by Girl Scouts of the USA and the American Camp Association.

The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council operates three different summer camps: Agnes Arnold, Casa Mare, and Misty Meadows. The Agnes Arnold camp lets girls discover their enthusiasm for nature by engaging in all manner of outdoor activities on a 35-acre property surrounding beautiful Shadow Lake. At Agnes Arnold, girls can canoe, fish, swim, camp, and explore nature with the guidance of seasoned staff.

Casa Mare, meanwhile, is designed to let girls unleash their curiosity about the seas and learn courage on the water. This camp is for older girls and focuses on STEM activities centered around Galveston Bay. At Casa Mare, girls can learn sailing skills as well as engage in science experiments.

Finally, Misty Meadows is designed to let girls focus on personal improvement, leadership, teamwork, and good sportsmanship at the beautiful Treelake Complex in Conroe. This camp offers horseback riding, obstacle courses, and a wide variety of team and individual sports.
