heb coronavirus donationAs H-E-B partners continue to work long, hard hours to keep up with demand during the coronavirus pandemic, the company has announced that it will offer a temporary pay increase as a way to say “thank you.”

This move comes as the grocery store chain ramps up hiring of temporary workers to help meet surging demand.

H-E-B is also working on installing shields in checkout lines to protect cashiers who are seeing tons of people come through their lines each day.

The company has also pledged to donate $3 million to assist in the fight against coronavirus.

“Partners come together during times of crisis to take care of each other and our Customers,” the grocery store chain said on Twitter. “This is the Spirit of H-E-B.”
