** Halloween Monster Mayhem: The Children’s Museum of Houston is a Halloween mecca October 9 – 31 with Halloween Monster Mayhem. Kids can wear their costume and explore the mansion, complete spooky science experiments and more. Free trick-or-treating is available weekdays Tuesday – Friday 4 pm – 6 pm, 4 pm – 8 pm Thursday, and all day weekends through Halloween night. You can also take advantage of discounted Children’s Museum tickets for bigger savings.
** Boo on the Boardwalk: Kids can enjoy free Trick-or-Treating at the Kemah Boardwalk for Halloween-theme
** Zoo Boo at Houston Zoo: It’s a Halloween party that takes over the Houston Zoo on weekends leading up to Halloween! The annual Zoo Boo at Houston Zoo features lots of kid-friendly fun including trick-or-treating, costume parade, Living Pumpkin Patch, Monster Mural, Monster Mashquerade, and Candy Corners. Enjoy lighter crowds on Fridays from 9 am – 1 pm. Weekend hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am – 4 pm. Zoo Boo is included with Zoo admission: $14 for kids age 2-11, $18 for adults, $11.50 for seniors. Houston Zoo is located in Hermann Park.
** Bass Pro Shops Halloween: Bass Pro Shops proudly sponsors its free Halloween activities, “Great Pumpkin Celebration” October 20,21 and 26-31. Families can enjoy free crafts, free 4×6 photo, pumpkin toss and more. October 27 and 31 adds trick-or-treati
**Halloween at Moody Gardens: October 20, 27, and 28, head over to Moody Gardens for some great Halloween activities. There are film nights and the Ghostly Gardens for the little ones. Click here to learn more
Halloween Night Events
** Halloween Monster Mash Bash: The Children’s Museum of Houston is hosting a kid-friendly Halloween party October 31, 3 pm – 8 pm — Halloween Monster Mash Bash. Families can enjoy trick-or-treating, Thriller Dance Party, Monster Mashup, DJ, Glow-in-the-Dark Monster Slime and more. The event is free with museum admission. Located at 1500 Binz.
** Movies at Miller: Poltergeist — Sit outdoors and watch an old Halloween movie, Poltergeist, at Miller Outdoor Theatre on Halloween night, 7 pm. This movie is rated PG (1982).
**Pearland Trick or Treat Trail: The Pearland Rec Center & Natatorium will be hosting a free trick-or-treating event on Halloween from 5:30-8 pm where there will be tons of booths and great activities for kids. Learn more at this link
** Many retailers and outdoor centers are offering retail trick-or-treating October 31, including CityCentre, Houston Premium Outlets, Memorial City Mall, Katy Mills Mall, San Jacinto Mall, and more. Check your local mall for trick-or-treating hours.
