It happens. Kids get excited for Halloween, but often collect way too much candy. {Is there such a thing?!!}
Take advantage of Houston-area dental practices (and mall) offering Halloween Candy Buy-Back, which ultimately blesses others. The organizations partner with Operation Gratitude, who then sends the candy overseas to the troops. 130 tons of candy has been collected nationwide since this program began in 2005. Most pay $1/lb. of candy, but specifics are below.
